    Dear Mr. Dominey,
In answer to your questions to the best of my
Ability it will be a pleasure since my
    Memeries are all good.

Judge Eschol Graham was the original owner.
He and his wife Eva Mae Smith lived there and
in 1907 had a son, Duncan Graham. His wife
died and in 1908, he married Frankie Williamson
at that time he had moved his mother, Josephine
Graham and his two sisters Eva and Abbie into
the house. One daughter, Elizabeth was born in 1920.

There was a large well built garage not
attached to the house. Later this garage was
moved to the side of the house and attached
with a gazebo. There was utility barn at the
rear of the house which held coal and firewood
as well as other supplies. The inclosed back yard
housed chickens and another inclosure for bird dogs.

There were 3 ½ bathrooms, City water was used.

Laundry was picked up on Monday and
Taken to the home of a servant who washed
in an iron pot over an open fire. She
ironed them and returned on Thursday,
    otherwise hand washing at home.

A large wood stove was used until
The advent of an electric stove. The kitchen had
Built in bins for flower and sugar. There
Was a marble slab for making biscuits, etc.

He died in 1955, Frankie lived on.
She sold the house to a lady whose name
I cannot recall. The Rawlins bought it
from her and served it well. Frankie
died at the age of 101 at her daughter’s
    home in Orange Texas.

Mrs Graham had an unusual flower
pit at the rear of the house where she
Put here many plants in the winter. It
was large and deep with steps going down,
    glass covered the top.

In 1937 when they remodeled one upstairs
Bathroom was completely renovated in blue
    Tile. Floor furnaces were installed.
There was a fireplace in each room
And the house was furnished with early ??
Strachey Oak furniture. I still have
Two pedestals and a china chest plus one
Small desk and chair. The floors were all
Long leaf pine above and below.

One of the best features was the large
Front porch with swings at each end,
And large white cane rocker where
    They spent many an evening.

The concrete walks around the house
Were edged with coping. There were flower
Gardens on the side and back of
    The house.

I sincerely hope this will be of
assistance to you in your project.
I appreciate your effort very much.

    Cordially
    Elizabeth Campbell
